Manaslu trek is one of the most adventurous classic treks in Nepal. Manaslu region trek is strenuous trek comprising natural and cultural diversity. Since the time it was opened for the tourists in 1992. Manaslu trek provides an opportunity for the adventurers to behold the unique and unchanged lifestyle of the ethnic tribes.

Mt. Manaslu (8156 meters) is the world’s eighth highest mountain.Mt. Manaslu is also known by Gorkha Himal. Mt. Manaslu, Peak 29 7871 meters and Himalchuli 7893 meters forms Manaslu. Manaslu lies towards the west-central part of Nepal. Manaslu “Mountain of the Spirit” is derived from the sanskrit word Manasa “intellect or soul”.

Manaslu trek requires the Nepalese government permission. Manaslu Conservation Area is established owing to the rich natural flora and fauna Manaslu as a whole. Manaslu trek follows the ancient salt trading route along the Budhi Gandaki River through the mystic villages like Khanigaun, Nyak, Setibas, Namru and Samagaun with the highest point the Larkya La (5135 meters.) We can view 10 peaks over 6,500-7000 meters and unspoilt village trekking route in the Himalaya. Manaslu

Himalayan Tahr, snow leopard musk deer are the major animal species found in this area. The best time to trek Manaslu region is spring and the autumn season.

Manaslu trek starts from Aarughat in Gorkha (the famous historical place). The trail descends the budhi Gandaki River with small villages.We come across the Tibetan world with high and mysterious valley. It used to be important trading link between Nepal and Tibet. The trail then leads to a high pass Larkys La (5135m) with stunning view of mountain peaks. The trail descends crossing beautiful valleys and amazing landscape. Manaslu trek finishes at Besi Sahar.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1:Warm welcome to the guest in the Nepalese cultural way at the Airport by Himalaya Thunder team and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2:Drive to Sotikhola from Kathmandu (6-8 hrs)

Day 3:Trek to Machikhola (4-5 hrs.)

Day 4:Trek to Jagat (6-7 hrs.)

Day 5:Trek to Deng (6-7 hrs.)

Day 6:Trek to Namrung (6-7 hrs)

Day 7:Trek to Lho Village (4 hrs) hike to Monastery

Day 8:Trek to Samagaun

Day 9:Rest day Acclimatization walk around Birendra lake and monastery

Day 10:Trek to Sam do (3 hrs)

Day 11:Trek to Dharmashala (3-4 hrs)

Day 12:Trek to Bimtang 4 hrs to climb the Larkya La and 4 hrs to descend

Day 13:Trek to Daharapani (6-7 hrs)

Day 14:Trek to Chamje (5-6 hrs)

Day 15:Trek to Besisahar

Day 16:Drive to Kathmandu

Day 17:Departure
