Pokhara caters its identity as the tourist city, often called Nepalese paradise is major destination for visitors as a second destination after Kathmandu. The pristine natural spot is situated just 200 km by road and at only 25 minutes by air flights from the capital city, Kathmandu.
Phewa Lake: It's the prime destination of Pokhara for locals as well as foreigners. Phewa is the largest lake among others lakes of Pokhara. Here, you can sail or row a hired boat across the lake. There is an island in the middle of the lake hosts a temple called Talbarahi. .Lakeside by the lake is tourist hub in the eastern shore, popular for all travelers. Restaurants, handicraft shops and other tourist facilities are located here.
Devi’s fall: Patale Chango is known as Devi's fall. This is a lovely Waterfall about 2 km south west from Pokhara airport on Siddhartha Highway. A trekker named as Davy was fell into Padi Khola and disappeared down into an underground passage then Patale Chango is named Devi's fall.
Mahendra Cave: It's another attraction of Pokhara. Mahendra gufa is a large limestone cave is known as Home of Bats.
Seti Gandaki Gorge: Seti Gandaki River flows through the city with its underground route. Remarkably in certain location the river appears barely one and half meters wide. Its deepness is quite beyond imagination. Mahendra pul is the perfect location to view the river. Terrible rush with unknown deepness creates rhythm inside the gorge.
World Peace Pagoda: Situated at the summit of a hill above Phewa Lake it has four statue of Buddha facing to four directions. The Pagoda with its elevation setting presents superb Himalayan view. It’s a vantage view point from where one can capture Annapurna range with Pokhara city.
Begnas Lake and Rupa Lake: Situated at the eastern part Begnas Lake have quite atmosphere where you can enjoy boating with fish. It’s the place where Annapurna Range luminously reflected in rippling waters. Lodges and resorts are alongside the lake for accommodation. Another lake of Pokhara, Rupa Lake is separated from Begnas by a bridge known as Pachabhaiya. Rupa Lake is prefect for nature retreat with the opportunities of boating and fishing.
