Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1:Flight to Lhasa
Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa; warm welcome in Lhasa (Gongar) airport by Himalaya Thunder Treks staff. Acclimatization with elevation setting.

Day 2:Lhasa Sight seen
Sight Seen including Potala Palace, the 13-soreyed palace used to winter abode for the Dalai Lama. The incredible palace hosts panoramic view of Lhasa covers various places around. Sera Monastery, founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa is another destination for the day.

Day 3:Explore Lhasa
Jokhang Temple, sacred temple of Tibet refers as “Buddha’s House”. Jokhang Temple presents the convergence of Tibet’s Spiritual and secular life. Barkhor Bazaar is the most important religious paths with shopping. Another attraction of Lhasa is Norbulingkha, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama.

Day 4:Drive to Gyantse
During the drive to Gyantse will stop at Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and capture Karola Snowy Mountain on eyes. After that another destination are Kumbum Stupa, Palkor Monastery and Gyantse Old Street.

Day 5:Drive to Shigatse
Shigatse, the second largest city and the business hub, Tashilunpo Monastery and New Palace of Panchen are main destination for the day. Tashilunpo Monastery is famous for Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 6:Drive to Shegar
Shegar is known as New Tingri during this drive tour team visit Sakya Monastery (4280m).

Day 7:Drive to Rongbuk/explore EBC
Rongbuk is known as the largest temple it’s the place from where one can make excursion to Everest Base Camp. Exploring Everest Base Camp and can enjoy the horse cart here.

Day 8:Drive to Zhangmu
This drive passes the 5000m elevated Nyalmo Tong La Pass. During the drive tour team will visit the meditation cave of Milarepa at Nyalam.

Day 9:Drive to Kathmandu
Zhangmu is near to border of Nepal, from where tour team can enter Nepal. After crossing the Kodari border between Tibet and Nepal with completing immigration and custom formalities further drive to Kathmandu (144km).And one memorable Nepalese evening ahead before good bye.
