"Total immersion in the Himalayan chain with Himalaya Thunder Trek"

Jun 18, 2019 Simon PI had the incredible chance to meet Ajaya on my way to Nepal. This man whom I absolutely did not know welcomed me with his family in Kathmandu for an indefinite period, offered me cover and much better, his friendship. He took me to the rice fields of Kathmandu, knowing that I was passionate about agriculture. He took me to see x Temples knowing that I was interested in his culture. He took me to party and raft knowing I was young and fiery! And finally, he made me discover the magnificent trek of the Langtang Valley to finish at 5000m above sea level. All this to say, that in addition to being an excellent high mountain guide with twenty years of experience without any missteps (which is rare ..), Ajaya has an extraordinary ability to transmit love to us that he has for his country. And he will adapt your trip according to what you are looking for. It is thanks to people like Ajaya that we understand that Nepal is not just mountains. So if you want to discover all the riches that this beautiful country has to offer, this is the person to go to. Again thank you Ajaya for this wonderful month in your company !!!

Help and advice

Ajaya was very helpful, he helped us get to Pokhara and to the airport. He was warm and friendly and advised us very well. We will return to Nepal and we will complete a trek with him.

Manaslu trek

Himalaya thunder trek gave my group and me the best possible tour on the Manaslu trek. We had a million questions to ask before we went and Ajaya was able to answer all of them. We felt safe both before and during the trek, especially with the exceptional guide Krishna, who knew most of the ins and outs of the mountain, though if he didn´t know, he had the decency to tell us that. We were able to explore parts of the Himalaya I would never think I would and we spent the nights in mostly tourist free tea houses. It was an amazing tour and whenever I go back, I am sure to use them again.

Helpful, experienced guide

I got into touch with Ajaya via my aunt and uncle who met him 10 years ago and did a trek with him. Ajaya helped me with everything, got me from A to B, arranged my stay and safari in Chitwan National Park and I even was invited to lunch Dal Bhat with his family. A true trekker guide, with a lot of patience and experience!

Amazing Experience at Manaslu

Ajaya organized our trip to Manaslu very good. He gave us all the information and organized the permits (even before we gave him the money for it). He helped us with all our confusion about several things.
After the trek he invited us to his restaurant, where his family spend a nice evening with us.
But mainly I have to thank his brother in law, Krishna! He was our guide an just perfect. He was honest, funny, but always serious when necessary. I felt save all the time with him. Even when we got a stormy day with a lot of snow, he made us go forward carefully step by step and finally we made it over the pass.
What he did best was picking not the most common places for the night, but showed us more local ones. That gave us amazing views and a lot of contact to the local people.
Thanks so much for the trip. I would defeínitly recommend the company and especially Krishna!

Great arrangement, organized smoothly, perfect guide

We organized the Manaslu Circuit with Himalaya Thunder. We had a lot of options to create the itinerary exactly how we wanted to do the trek. This includes beautiful sidetracks and spend nights at the non-touristic locations.
Furthermore, besides being an awesome guy, the guide (Krishna) was really nice. He listened to what we would like to do, and arranged this perfectly. If I compare him with other guides we encountered on the trek, Krishna was way more up to date with weather forecast, or other possible drawbacks we could encounter. It felt like Krishna had everything under control.
Alltogether, Ajaya (who arranged the trek) and Krishna made our Manaslu Circuit a wonderful experience. I can surely recommend Himalaya Thunder trekking Company.

Amazing trek with the best guide!

I have been meaning to write a review for the past 3 years! better late than never :)
My sister and I did the 4 day trek to Poon Hill with the amazing Krishna in September 2014 and it was an unbelievable experience!
Krishna was lovely, very respectful and friendly, and what a great guide. We felt really comfortable and safe with him. The last day my knee was killing me, and he made sure that I was ok and not falling behind (my sister is a fast walker).
The trek was so beautiful, I never thought that I would be able to do it -physically and mentally.
I hope to go back soon and do another trek with the lovely Krishna!

Amazing adventure in Nepal

Ajaya organize a tailored week in order to allow us to manage part of Annapurna trek and also to enjoy Holi in Pokhara.
Unfortunately, as proposed, he did not refund an internal flight that we were not able to take because of bad weather conditions.
Make sure everything is well defined (specifically for internal travels because of weather conditions) and you will live a wonderful adventure !Date of experience: March 2017

Mt Everest trekking

I have been to trekking on Mt Everest with Himalaya Thunder Treks Day tours and had an awesome reception along with a excellent, energetic and experienced guide Ajay who has made our trip a memorable journey and had been proactive in assisting, accomodating, accomplishing the required for all the individuals in the group. I am very glad to meet a personality like him who made the entire trip a moment to remember for life time with spectacular locations to view, awesome hospitality, well planned schedule to meet all requirements.
